Question 2
What kind of food will we eat and will I be full at the end of the tour?
You will sample appetizers, small portion entrees, desserts and beverages from local cuisine to culturally diverse plates. You should feel like you have eaten a normal sized meal.

Tips are always appreciated by our tour guides! Tipping is customary in the United States. According to Tripadvisor, the tip should be calculated as a percentage of your total bill as follows: 10% usually means you aren’t totally happy, 15% usually means all was acceptable, 18% for excellent service, and 20%+ for an outstanding experience.
*Please note that for parties of 6 or more an 18% gratuity/service charge will automatically be added at checkout.
Question 5
How many restaurants will we visit?
We generally visit 5-6 restaurants and eateries.
Question 6
Are alcoholic beverages included?
Yes. Wine, beer and/or cocktails will be provided at some locations for those that are 21 and older with a valid ID. Water will be available at most stops. Bottled water is not provided in between stops, so you may choose to bring your own in case you get thirsty.

We are able to offer private or custom tours in Chinese, German, Hindi & Nepali.

Question 9
Is the tour recommended for children?
Monterey Bay Food Tours leaves the decision to bring children up to the parents, but no special accommodations are made to include special menus or pricing. The tour is designed for people who have an appreciation for food. While we realize that many children may have a more limited palate, there are children who would enjoy the tour. See FAQ 10 for pricing.
Question 10
What is your payment/refund policy?
No refunds will be issued. Re-scheduling may be accommodated on a case by case basis. Full-priced tickets must be purchased in advanced for all those 8 and older attending. Participants under 8 may attend, but will not receive food tastings unless a ticket is purchased.
