“I try to sign up for a food tour in new cities near where I’m visiting and Monterey seemed a good choice as I was visiting family in Santa Clara. A friend and I enjoyed the tour with Filippe, our tour guide. It was just the 3 of us, so it seemed like a private tour! Every stop was delightful and had a unique food that was delicious. Learning a little history of Old Monterey was interesting as well. I would definitely recommend this tour if you’re visiting the Bay Area.”
““We had a wonderful time on the walking food tour of Monterey. If you are looking to eat your way around town with a guide, this is the perfect tour. We stopped at a gastropub, an indian restaurant, a greek restaurant and an ice cream parlour. the portions offered on this tour are big, so don’t eat before coming on this tour. :) (we missed that note in the brochure) Our guide was very thorough in discussing each kind of food and the restaurants we stopped at - as well as pointing out other places in town we might eat later in our stay. :) This was our first “experience” through AIR B&B and could not have been happier. :)””
“Monterey Bay Food Tours was a blast! Myself and 8 other teammates enjoyed the food tour as a “team building day”. Only one of us from the team had ever experienced a food tour before and we all had a blast! Our tour guide Felipe was very knowledgeable on all the local food stops and even gave suggestions for places that weren’t part of the tour. We got to meet restaurant owners, learn about restaurants history, and get some behind the scene how it is made. Monterey has tons of amazing history and gorgeous old buildings and historic gardens we also got to view and walk around. No better way to have a team bond then over great food, beautiful scenery and a stroll through an amazing town! “This food tasting extravaganza was such a treat! not only do we explore some of Monterey’s foody hotspots, but it’s a mini history tour as well! I don’t want to spoil what’s on the tour foodwise, but lets just say my fiancé and I will never have butter chicken that will live up to what we were treated to on this tour. Absolutely worth every penny! We plan on doing this again next time we visit and highly recommend this to foodies, adventurers, and everydayers alike! bon appetit!”

The experience at each stop was wonderful in both how we were accommodated as well as the quality of what we were served. “Casey and Felipe were great. They were able to customize our tour so it was affordable for our group, which I really appreciated. Felipe was our guide and he was very knowledgeable of the food, the places we visited, and the city itself. People in our group have been on food tours before, but were speaking very highly of this one in comparison. The food portions were huge, so be sure to start on an empty stomach. And be sure to have them take you to get ice cream - definitely the highlight of the day. I went for a bachelorette and Casey was sweet enough to put together fun swag bags for each lady at the end of the tour. I told her she didn’t have to, but she took it upon herself to do it anyway. Everyone agreed that we’d definitely do this again. Great job, Monterey Bay Food Tours!”
“This was my husband’s and my 3rd food tour. Before this food tour, we have done food tours in Carmel CA and in Scottsdale AZ. Food tours are our new favorite thing to do on vacation because they are tasty, fun, and informative ways to learn about a place we are visiting. We were the only 2 people on the tour the day we met up with Casey. She still gave us the complete tour which we enjoyed very much. We really appreciated her not asking us to reschedule since we were down to our last couple of days on vacation. Casey started our tour with a tasting of locally made preserves and olive oil in a cute little shop filled with vintage and historical items. As we walked on to other stops on the tour, Casey told us about the history of Monterey and the surrounding area. We got to enjoy Greek food, gastropub food, handmade ice cream, decadent pastries, and assorted brews and wines. Our last visit was to an art gallery displaying the work of local artists. We enthusiastically recommend the Monterey walking food tour that we enjoyed with Casey.”

“Casey did a great job organizing and conducting this tour. There were a variety of food and drink choices and her knowledge of the history of the area was impressive. We were all former graduates of DLI and spent about nine months in Monterey, and as one of the guys said, “we learned more about the history of the area in three hours than what we learned while we were there!” It was a highlight of our trip and we highly recommend it. Casey and her husband are both very charming and fun to spend time with.”

“Monterey Bay Food Tours was awesome! With all the wonderful dishes that were provided on the tour, experiencing the tour while hanging out with friends and family made it that much better. Also, had the pleasure of meeting great people along the way in our group of 12. Every restaurant provided a perfectly portioned meal so that we had enough room for desert at our 5th stop. Walking from place to place and learning a bit of history and the culture in the community of Monterey was fun and also a great experience. Weather was beautiful in Monterey as always. Casey and her team did a great job. Would totally recommend trying the Monterey Bay Food Tours out if you’re a local or tourists visiting the area!”

I’m born and raised in the Monterey Peninsula and these “local” secrets will leave you wanting to come back. The tour guide was amazing and it’s such a fun time. The 3 hours will fly by as you indulge yourself in everything that Monterey has to offer. If you are looking for something new and an obvious 1st give the Monterey Food Tours a try. I promise you won’t be disappointed.”
“Delicious food with some special insights on local history; this tour is a must for anyone starting a Monterey vacation, you will definitely find some spots that you want to re-visit and maybe even a new favorite restaurant. My husband and I really enjoyed our food tour with Casey, the owner. The specially prepared tasting plates and wine/beer pairings were served with a personal touch as the chefs and owners at each restaurant greeted us or stopped by the table for a conversation. Even as Monterey “locals” (lived in/around the area for 7+ years), Casey walked us through some hidden areas of downtown and pointed out sights we’d never noticed before! Casual, laid-back tour that’s mostly flat; and Casey will work with the chefs to make sure any food allergies are accommodated. She even arranged for a small birthday celebration at our final stop in a local art gallery for two members of our group. Highly recommend it to anyone in Monterey!”

“Had the best time on this food tour in Monterey with my family. I loved the wide variety of food and the excitement of trying new things. The portions are very generous so definitely come hungry! It was a bonus to also learn about some of the history of Monterey. While walking to other restaurants our tour guide took us on detours to see historical Monterey buildings and courtyards. It was a lot of walking but it was a beautiful day and a great way to work some of our food off. My favorite part was getting to know other people and the delicious dessert at the end! I would definitely go again and recommend it to anyone! ”
“We had such a wonderful afternoon on our Monterey Bay Food Tour! The food was delicious and the variety of venues was great. The bonus was that we shared a lot of great conversations and laughs with our group. This tour is truly a great value considering the amount of food, wine, cider and desserts we enjoyed.
